GigRadio Episode 13: The Defences One

We’ve featured Hertfordshire band Defences countless times over the last few years, starting with making them our New Band of the Week in September 2017, seeing them at multiple gigs, and most recently reviewing their 2019 single In Eclipse.

So when the band described their new single Something More, which was released last Friday, as “the start of a new era” we thought it was high time to bring them onto the GigRadio podcast.

We chatted to vocalists Cherry Duesbury and William Alex Young and guitarist Calum Wilmot about the new track, the perils and excitement of filming its video underwater and getting accustomed to collaborating on Zoom calls. And we give the new track Something More a play as well.
