Introducing: The Camel City Blackouts

Would you believe we’ve only covered two American bands in 2021 and only three since mid-November? Well, we’re putting that right with North Carolina duo The Camel City Blackouts, who’ve honed a traditional, energetic punk rock sound that they describe as “introspective, fun and catchy.”

Introducing: VRSTY

New York City rockers VRSTY are on a mission to prove wrong the theory that everything has done before. The band offer up an unusual fusion of R&B and even pop-inspired vocals with heavier metal growls alongside huge guitar riffs, metallic grooves and elements of post-hardcore.

Teenage sibling trio Speed of Light have honed a garage rock sound laced with punky undertones that’s probably going to take you by surprise in its ferocity. In fact, the Santa Monica, California, band’s dirty, riff-filled rock meets grunge meets desert rock sound is absolutely filthy as hell.

Discover This: Beyond The Badlands

We’ve featured a couple of ‘Internet bands’ in the past, but Beyond The Badlands is definitely one of the most interesting. The band was founded in January by guitarist and songwriter Cuda Smith, who’s currently stationed in Germany and spends six months of the year deployed with the military which leaves him another six months to hone his brand of southern rock.
