Introducing: Holy Wars

Los Angeles-based Holy Wars have crafted a diverse sound that fuses elements of punk, metal, rock and hip-hop with pop melodies, which they describe as “genre blurring, high energy and packed with a ton of emotion.”

Introducing: A Shadow Within

Denver band A Shadow Within seek to meet, investigate and embrace the “collective shadow sides” that they’ve been told to repress and ignore. The result sees the band take full control of their darker selves in a diverse metalcore sound they describe as “cathartic, energetic and powerful.”

Introducing: Sicksense

Arizona-based Sicksense combine call-and-response male and female vocals, rapped verses, engaging choruses and intense screams in a fascinating, nimble and punishing nu-metal sound they describe as “authentic, energetic and innovative.”

Introducing: Wolvera

Texas band Wolvera aim to leave an impression on people that hear the metal sound they describe as “powerful, creative, and deep.” And it’s safe to say their attempts to modernise everything that was good about 1980s heavy metal – namely chugging riffs, vicious vocals, searing solos and powerful rhythms – are pretty memorable.

Introducing: Rogue

Rogue offer up a progressive metalcore sound that fuses pummelling guitars, a mix of clean and screamed vocals and immersive soundscapes, which they describe as “energetic, atmospheric and thought-provoking.”

Introducing: Raven Tooth

We love a good one-man metal band and that’s exactly what we have from Florida newcomers Raven Tooth. The Orlando-based outfit offers us a no-nonsense, hard-hitting metal sound that also provides elements of hard rock, punk and hardcore.

Introducing: Darkenside

Washington band Darkenside joke that they sound like “a stadium rock band that plays breakdowns.” But it’s an apt description of a riff-heavy yet melodic modern metalcore approach that they describe as “powerful, energetic, and emotional.”
