On The Radar: Howlin’ Chip, King’s Rage, KuF, MOSAICS & Traverse The Abyss

We're back with another round-up of new tracks by previously featured GigRadar artists in our On The Radar feature. This round-up brings you a wide variety of new music, from blues rock, hard rock and metal to a taste of 90s rock and some thrashing metalcore.

Introducing: Howlin’ Chip

Stepping out of a post-apocalyptic Earth in the year 2064, a world where Machines rule the roads, but the Blues still breathe, humanoid Howlin' Chip roams a scorched world armed with a guitar and the assistance of his mechanical wolf. The futuristic blues lover keeps fragments of human memory alive through funky music that he describes as "raw, cinematic and soulful."

New Band Of The Week: Mother Vulture

Exciting British newcomers Mother Vulture combine filthy riffing, stunning vocals and beefy breakdowns in an intoxicating bluesy, punky rock sound they describe as "chaotic, energetic and intense." Indeed, the band claims their music is so chaotic it will "leave you with horrific injuries."

Discover This: Beyond The Badlands

We've featured a couple of 'Internet bands' in the past, but Beyond The Badlands is definitely one of the most interesting. The band was founded in January by guitarist and songwriter Cuda Smith, who's currently stationed in Germany and spends six months of the year deployed with the military which leaves him another six months to hone his brand of southern rock.

New Band of the Week: Demure

Brighton band Demure are using a foundation of classic rock and building a wide range of musical influences on top of it, from funk and blues to psychedelia, reggae and even hip-hop. The result is an intoxicating fusion of delicious riffs, catchy vocals, funky instrumentals and plenty of musical diversity.
