Your guide to new rock, metal and punk bands worldwide
Our latest On The Radar article offers up a bumper episode of new music by 16 bands from all over the world. This collection of great new tracks features bands from Australia, Germany, Italy, Norway, Romania, Sweden, the UK, Ukraine and the US.
Hertfordshire band Defences promised us "the launching point for a brand new sound" that would be "heavier, more experimental and soulful, more personal and intimate" when we interviewed them about their single In Eclipse back in April 2019. Fast-forward five years, and we're seeing them settle into and flourish in that thrilling new sound.

Today, we have reached the milestone of the 1,000th article to be published on GigRadar. Since setting the site up from scratch in August 2016, we've covered new bands from all over the world and I'm pleased to say that numbers are only on the rise.

We were handed a metal treat as we went along to see Defences, one of our favourite bands at GR Towers, as they supported melodic metal band The Raven Age along with another of our former featured bands MSRY at The Underworld in Camden last Thursday (28 March).
