Our On The Radar feature continues by introducing three new tracks from bands we previously interviewed and discovered through music discovery platform Groover. Today, we bring you two new singles from heavy French bands and a more laid-back offering from a Canadian band.
New Band of the Week: Arimea
British metal newcomers Arimea aim to capture the essence of 2000s nu-metal with elements of hardcore and hip-hop. So expect chunky riffs combined with a splash of record scratch, a sprinkle of Misha Collins love-in, and a heavy dose of deliciously engaging vocals in a sound they describe as "impenetrable, nostalgic and alluring."
Introducing: HeadAche
If you prefer your rock to be a bit weird, eclectic, random and guided by the advice of an alien then Hertfordshire quartet HeadAche are going to be the band for you.
Introducing: Holy Wars
Los Angeles-based Holy Wars have crafted a diverse sound that fuses elements of punk, metal, rock and hip-hop with pop melodies, which they describe as "genre blurring, high energy and packed with a ton of emotion."
New Band of the Week: COPE
There's not many things that we love more than some good, fast-paced hardcore punk and that's what we get in spades from London's COPE, who've honed a sound that they aptly summarise as "heavy fucking punk."
New Band of the Week: ASKARI
ASKARI, led by the distinctive vocals of frontman Asher Baker, are a band that pulls no punches and are on a mission to throw, in their words, "walls of sound around any size venue and spitting vitriolic lyrics squarely in the face of absolutely every fucker ever."
Discover This: Eric Vattima
We've come across a few diverse artists in our time but Nashville, Tennessee, based Eric Vattima is right up there with his fusion of rock and alternative with R'n'B and hip-hop.

But now the district has given birth to a band that takes these hip-hop roots and seamlessly entwines them with rock and nu-metal influences. Sylar describe themselves as a celebration of self-expression against... Continue Reading →

Any band that claims they're set to "take over the world in 2017" has to demand your attention, especially when they make music that backs up their bold claim.
