New Band of the Week: Icarus

Hertfordshire newcomers Icarus have honed an infectious sound that fuses engaging vocals and heavy riffing in a rock meets metal meets hip-hop concoction that they describe as “dirty, raw and massive.”

Los Angeles dark-pop rockers RIVALS offer up a little bit of something for everyone with their infectious fusion of heavy rock, electronic and pop elements, which they summarise as “heavy emotional pop.”

Introducing: Young Pretorians

South coast band Young Pretorians fuse elements of punk and rock in an engaging, feel good throwback sound. In their words, “It’s guitar music and for us that’s the best music” and we certainly can’t disagree with that.

Introducing: Plant My Bones

Finnish trio Plant My Bones offer up a thrilling sound that harnesses influences from across the rock and metal spectrum. The band combines prog rock influences, modern metal riffing and multi-layered harmonies alongside stunning vocals that, in their words, packs “maximal amounts of whoopass mayhem shabang.”

Introducing: Please Use Right Excuses

Let us take you on a nostalgic trip back to the early 1990s with the raw, grungy rock sound of Brazilian band Please Use Right Excuses, who describe themselves as “the ones that express feelings, emotions.”

Introducing: HeadFury
