Dutch band Unnerve offer up a vicious concoction of metalcore, deathcore, nu-metal and grunge as aggressive vocals and relentlessly heavy riffs form a sound they describe as “groovy, chaotic and cathartic.”
We love a good comeback story, and that’s very much the case with Swedish extreme metal supremos Disruption, who describe their sound as “aggressive, energetic whiplash.”
We’re back with another round-up of new tracks by previously featured GigRadar artists in On The Radar. This round-up brings you new tracks by three bands, of which two are former New Bands of the Week alongside one of our favourite bands from France.
We’re ticking the 57th country off the GigRadar world map in style with the thrilling, heavy-riffing metalcore sound of Luxembourg’s Parity, who describe their music as “energetic, loud and catchy.”
Canadian band Light Drawn In offer up an intriguing, diverse sound that toes the line between hard rock, modern metal and nu-metal with electronic elements, and they describe as “unique, energetic and organic.”
Bristol band Calvaria offer up a tribute to 2000s metalcore and nu-metal with elements of progressive metal in a thrilling sound they describe as “melodic, loud and riffy.”
New Hampshire’s House Lights offer up a deliciously post-hardcore meets alt-metal sound that they describe as “dynamic, nostalgic and purposeful.”
From deep within the Savoie region in the heart of the French Alps comes a dark fusion of drum’n’bass and nu-metal that the exciting duo KEVA describe as “violent, tormented, and hybrid.”
Kent and Essex-based band Code: Marla started out as a dubstep project but they’re increasingly heading down a path towards nu-metal with a thrilling sound they describe as “high energy vibes.”
Bristol-based trio Cober Mouth harnesses the aggression of hardcore, the bounce of nu-metal and the weight of metalcore in a vicious nu-metalcore sound they intriguingly describe as “Groovy. Slam. Jackhammer.”
Australian solo artist Steven Pirois began 2024 with the goal of taking a mass of half-finished lyrics, riffs and musical ideas from the previous 20 years and turn them into something tangible. Fast-forward 12 months, and he’s overdelivered on that goal, churning out three albums since April.
If we had to pick two genres that probably wouldn’t work together, R&B and metal would likely be good contenders. But Manchester band Alchemize have fused the two, while taking on the added complexity of having three vocalists.
