Portsmouth newcomers The Suicide Room make a strong first impression with a thrilling, slightly creepy, and boisterous punk meets metal sound.
Porstmouth quartet Call Of Sirens have crafted a catchy and engaging rock sound led by powerful vocals and punky instrumentals, which they describe as “attitude, emotive and different.”
Portsmouth six-piece Seething Akira offer an escape from the monotony of normality with an electronic nu-core sound that they describe as “Balls.To.The.Wall.”
South coast band Young Pretorians fuse elements of punk and rock in an engaging, feel good throwback sound. In their words, “It’s guitar music and for us that’s the best music” and we certainly can’t disagree with that.
Fareham band Web were introduced to us as “Portsmouth’s latest and most aggressive post-punk band,” which had us all ears. The quartet have honed an intriguing sound that fuses a little bit of everything from experimental post-punk to grunge and heavy noise rock as they endeavour to work on “more interesting song structures.”
