There seems to be a strange disdain from some parts for bands formed of just two members. That’s pretty hard to understand when it comes to a duo like Broozer, who refuse to conform to one genre and are more than happy to mix things up from song to song.
With a band name like Dirty Power you’re well within your rights to expect some filthy, heavy, hard rocking goodness, and the Dublin-based trio well and truly deliver on those expectations.
Our first New Band of the Week of 2021 may well be the first to have fused hard rock, metal and reggae. Spar Marta have honed a unique sound that jumps between full-on heavy riffing and more laid-back delicious vocals, with a sprinkling of funk for good measure.
