We love discovering bands that take us on conceptual journeys in music, so we found ourselves instantly immersed in the sound and ethos of cosmic rock solo artist The Crimson Voyager. The project aims to appeal to anyone who’s ever looked up to the stars and wondered what’s out there, providing “an experience, a journey, a story unfolding piece by piece,” with every track providing another step into the alien unknown.
The Crimson Voyager is a solitary cosmos explorer, an astronaut lost in space seeking out signals of love, hope and meaning. “It’s a metaphor for the human experience, the search for connection and purpose in the unknown,” the Voyager himself tells us. “I’m from Earth, but The Crimson Voyager belongs to the cosmos. The project started as a way to merge my music with storytelling, using space as a backdrop for emotions that feel vast and limitless. Over time, the Voyager became more than just an idea – it became the core of my artistic universe, shaping both the sound and visuals of everything I create.”
As for the music, The Crimson Voyager has crafted an engaging rock sound that they summarise as “cosmic, emotional and immersive.” Expanding on that, they told us: “It’s a mix of cinematic, space-infused soundscapes with emotional storytelling. Imagine if space had a soundtrack—blending electronic elements, dreamy melodies, and deep, reflective lyrics. If you love music that feels like an adventure through the stars, this is for you.”
Our latest taste of this is The Crimson Voyager’s second single All The Answers, which was released at the end of last month. It opens up with a building electronic noise that drops into light guitars that continue into an engaging verse. The drums pick up the pace as a sweeping guitar leads us into a big singalong chorus. A second chorus gives way to a delicious guitar solo over driving guitars and drums, which drops into stripped-back vocals before a big final blast of the chorus.
On the track, they told us: “I’m incredibly excited for this release – All The Answers is a song about searching, about that feeling of being lost yet still pushing forward. It follows The Crimson Voyager as they drift through space, running out of oxygen but still hoping to find an oasis. Expect atmospheric, cinematic soundscapes that feel like floating through the void. There’s a sense of urgency and longing in the song, reflecting the emotions of questioning everything while still holding onto hope.”
That follows on from debut single New Transmission, which starts with spacey sounds before dropping into lively guitars that give way to intensifying vocals. A chorus drops into plodding guitars before giving way to the fun stabbing riff alongside fast-paced vocals. Check it out in the stream here:
The Crimson Voyager is influenced by musicians who share their vision of creating immersive worlds and cosmic soundscapes. This includes artists like M83, Hans Zimmer, Pink Floyd, Ólafur Arnalds and Sigur Rós.
“I’m inspired by the unknown—whether it’s outer space or the depths of human emotion,” they told us. The themes of my music revolve around longing, exploration, solitude, hope, and the search for meaning. Each song is like a transmission from The Crimson Voyager, capturing a moment in their endless journey – whether it’s chasing a distant signal, reflecting on lost time, or questioning their own existence in the vast emptiness.”
There’s plenty more to come from The Crimson Voyager, who’ll be releasing a new single every third week of the month through 2025. They’ll also be developing cosmic collaborations with artists who share a similar space-inspired vision, which will include Somewhere Between Our Galaxies Collide, a track about two wanderers meeting on the same distant planet. Beyond that, expect The Crimson Voyager universe to come to life visually through immersive videos and additional storytelling elements.
And they added: “I truly appreciate the opportunity to talk about The Crimson Voyager and share this musical journey with you. Every interview is a chance to bring more depth to this universe I’m building, piece by piece, and your questions allowed me to explore it even further. I hope this conversation resonates with those who read it and inspires them to join the voyage. Thank you again for your time, curiosity, and support – it really means a lot to me.”
