Our first New Band of the Week of 2021 may well be the first to have fused hard rock, metal and reggae. Spar Marta have honed a unique sound that jumps between full-on heavy riffing and more laid-back delicious vocals, with a sprinkling of funk for good measure.

Leeds trio Kath & The Kicks have honed an intriguing sound that packs the power of alternative and grunge. Led by delicious, engaging vocals and supported by heavy riffs, there's also a more melodic edge to the band that's sure to have you hooked.

Nothing quite shakes off the Monday morning blues than a fix of energetic, frenetic, fast-paced hardcore punk. So expect fun, energetic, enthusiastic punk laced with metal influences from the exciting sound of Northwich's Kicked In The Teeth.
